Dear Undergraduate Student,

TODAY is the deadline to select the CR/GC/NC or traditional (A-F) grading options for one or more of your classes this semester. Please confirm and make any grading option changes in SIS by 11:59 p.m. EDT tonight, Friday, April 30. There will be no opportunity to change your grading option after this time

I’ve included more information about CR/GC/NC for undergraduate classes below. If you are taking a graduate class (5000 level or higher), please review the information for how each graduate school has defined CR/GC/NC.

We know this decision might be difficult, so we have created a resource to help you decide which grading option is best for you in each of your classes. If you are considering a career in medicine or law, I encourage you to discuss your choice with pre-professional advisors in the UVA Career Center.

Remember to confirm and make any necessary grading option changes in SIS before 11:59 p.m. EDT tonight.

For steps on how to change and review the current grading options for your class in SIS, please click the link below. Be sure to follow steps 8-10 to confirm your choices are correctly recorded in SIS before the deadline.

If you have questions or concerns, you may reach me at [email protected].

Kind regards,

Laura F. Hawthorne
Associate Vice Provost and University Registrar
