Academic Information

My AP/IB and/or transfer credits are not showing on my official transcript. How do I fix this?

Please contact your School of Enrollment for assistance. They are responsible for everything concerning enrollment, academic requirements, and AP/IB & transfer credit.

How do I update my expected graduation date?

How do I declare a major and/or minor?

I am a graduate student, and my GPA is not on my official transcript. How can I add my GPA on my official transcript?

The Graduate and Professional Schools do not report GPA’s on the official academic transcript. If you wish to calculate your GPA, then you may use the GPA calculator located on our website. Please be advise that the GPA calculated using this tool is not an official report of your GPA.

Who should I speak with regarding grades and degree requirements?

All matters regarding your academic record including grades, course schedule and degree requirements are handled by your School of Enrollment.

Where can I find information on Academic Probation, Academic Suspension, and Academic Warning?

Please contact your School of Enrollment for all questions regarding Academic Probation, Academic Suspension, and Academic Warning.

Certification

How do I obtain an enrollment certification?
  1. Log in to the National Student Clearinghouse (Required NetBadge)

  2. Select "current enrollment" or "all enrollment"

  3. Select "Obtain an enrollment certificate" If you need credit hours or GPA on your certification, request the certification in the form of an official transcript.

 

How do I obtain an anticipated enrollment certification?

Please complete the Enrollment & Degree Verification Request form.

How do I verify my postgraduate training (Internship/Residency/Fellowship)?

The Graduate Medical Education office can verify postgraduate training (Internship /Residency/ Fellowship) completed at the University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville, Virginia. Verification requests can be e-mailed or mailed to the GME office.

Diplomas

How to order a replacement/duplicate diploma?

Please complete the Diploma Replacement Request form found under Forms for Students to order a replacement or duplicate diploma.

You can return your original diploma, and we will issue a new, original diploma.  If you wish to keep your original diploma, you will need to choose replacement or copy, and the word “Replacement” or “Copy” will be printed discreetly on the diploma below the seal. 

Mail the order form, payment, and your original diploma (if you choose to do so) to the address at the bottom of the order form.  The original diploma can be folded and placed in an envelope. Once we receive your order form, payment, and original diploma, we will process your diploma order form and submit it in the next diploma order, on or around the 15th of each month.  Please note that the new diploma will contain the current president, registrar, and dean signatures.

My diploma was damaged during shipping. How can I order a new one?

How do I access my CeDiploma?

Please select CeDiploma Information for instructions on accessing your CeDiploma.

How do I notarize my diploma?

Please choose one of the following methods.

  1. Take a photo of your diploma and email the photo to [email protected]
  2. Take your original diploma to a copy center and have an 8.5" x 11" photocopy made and mail the copy to UREG.

We will verify your degree and certify and notarize the diploma copy as being a true copy of the original and mail it back to you. Please include the address to which you would like the notarized copy sent.

Send a notarized copy of your diploma to Virginia’s Secretary of the Commonwealth to receive the Apostille. For individuals utilizing the CeDiploma, an Apostille is neither required nor necessary.

Please select SIS Primary Name Update Form to update your diploma name.

How do I update my diploma address?

Students can update their diploma address in the SIS Student Portal. Select “Graduation” under the Academics tab and then “Edit Diploma Address.”

The ADD/DROP deadline varies by school. Select Add/Drop/Withdrawal Dates for more information.

Can I enroll in a course after the ADD/DROP deadline?

How can I find my enrollment appointment times?

To find your enrollment appointment time please select ‘Enrollment’ and then ‘Enrollment Dates’ in your SIS Student Portal.

How do I order an official transcript?

Please select Transcripts to order your official transcript.

How can I notarize my transcript?

I have a hold on my account and cannot order my transcript. How can I remove the hold?

Financial hold: Please contact Student Financial Services at [email protected] or 434-982-6000.

Disciplinary hold: Please contact the Office of the Dean of Students at [email protected] or 434-924-7133.

Once the hold is removed, you can order a copy of your official transcript.
