Dear Student,

As you know, your dean has granted the option for all graduate students to convert their final grades in the school to the following special grading option after reviewing their final grades for the Fall 2022 term:

Credit (CR)/General Credit (GC)/No Credit (NC)
  • Credit (CR) – CR is awarded for a grade of middle C or higher and meets all degree requirements.
  • General Credit (GC) – GC is awarded for passing grades below C (including C-, D+, D, or D-) and meets any degree requirement that can be satisfied by a passing grade below C.
  • No Credit (NC) – NC is for a non-passing grade (that is, F).

Please use this link to review your final grades and select any that you wish to convert to CR/GC/NC. If you are uncertain about whether to choose the special grading option in any of your classes, please contact your program director or dean's office.

If you do not see one or more of your classes on the list, it is not eligible for the special grading option. Most graduate classes outside your school are not eligible. If you have any questions, please contact the school registrar of the school that is offering that class. You can find a list of school registrars here

You may log into the survey and change your answers as often as you’d like before the link closes at 11:59 p.m. EST this Friday, January 20.

None of us expected the end of last semester to be so difficult. I hope you are doing all right and that you can still find some joy in your accomplishments from the fall, even as our community continues to grieve and heal.  Please reach out to us or those around you if you need support.

Kind regards,
Laura Hawthorne
Associate Vice Provost for Enrollment and University Registrar
