Dear Instructor,
As we approach the end of the semester and final exams, please verify your fall class roster(s) and the grading basis for each student in SIS. This review helps us ensure your grade roster is accurate, avoiding stress for you and your students in December. Here are some important guidelines and resources to assist you:
Where and how do I review my class roster?
Class rosters should be verified in SIS, not Collab. For instructions, visit the ITS SIS For Instructors: SIS FAQs website.
Where do I review a student’s grading basis?
On the class roster in SIS, the grading basis for each student is listed to the right of their name (see image below). The grading basis for most students should be Graded; if you see the Crd/No Crd grading basis for any student, please let the student know, as this may be an error.
Many schools will not allow students to count a course taken on a credit/no credit basis toward their degree requirements. Please direct the student to their school registrar for assistance. School contact information is available on the University Registrar’s website.

What if a student is not on the class roster?
If a student is missing from your class roster, please direct the student to their school registrar for assistance. School contact information is available on the University Registrar’s website.
Note: Students attending your class who are not listed on the SIS class roster will not receive a grade or credit for the course unless they officially enroll.
